I Miss Her Every Day

A lot of people don't realise how important siblings are - or get close to them - until later in life. I did. Although family life was not perfect and we didn't always see eye to eye, by my teens, I was closer to my sisters than my friends. My oldest sister was like a parent to me: protective, comforting, wise, wonderful.

When I was 19, I was given the news that my sister had died.

It was sudden and to this day I can't comprehend.

I miss my sister. Her love, her guidance, her voice at the end of the telephone.
And I miss the family that I grew up with.

I miss mine too, she was the nicest, kindest, most loving person in my life. I am in a family of 6 siblings and before she passed away I always thot if one of us by any reason was not part of the family we wud not feel the absence but we were wrong. My other siblings are still there and supportive but it's not the same. I can't seem to heal, the pain never goes away. Why, jus why
