Deployment Sucks!

So my soldier has recently left for a year long deployment. And it has been extremely hard, before he left we were together almost 24/7. I was just wondering if anyone had any type of advice on things to help distract me, things I can send him, books to read to help with it. Songs anything like that it would mean a lot!

I will most DEFINATELY look that book up. Thank you! And please don't hesitate to message me either!

That is a REALLY good idea!! i think I may steal it from you. We skype and write too. It just sucks because I'm still new to all of this and don;t know what works and what doesn't. A book for you that you may like to help is called 365 days of deployment. It's a wifes story of her ups and downs during deployment. I haven't read it yet but I have it on my list!! anytime you need someone to talk to feel free to message me! :]

My boyfriend will be leaving for a year soon too, so I have been reading a lot about things to do while he is gone. We are planning to write letters as well as Skype as often as we can, but we are also going to write stories together. One of us will write a paragraph or a page and send it to the other person who will add what happens next. The really neat thing (and this was HIS idea!) is that we want to save the stories we end up with and read them to our kids. So I think that we will send that back and forth along with anything else I can think of to spoil him with while he is gone. I hope that helps! :)
