I Moved For My Husband
Two years ago I moved from Singapore to the United States to be with my new husband. The decision on who was to move, while obvious, was not an easy one.
I have a huge, close knit extended family and a group of girlfriends I knew I would miss. But I knew I loved my husband enough to do it. Adapting wasn't difficult.
What was the most difficult was having no real person that i was comfortable with to hang out sans my husband. Though it has been 2 years and I have settled in quite nicely, I still do not have friends like the ones I have back home-- but being able to wake up next to my husband is enough for me.
