I Am Numb Today

 I was told today a young man was killed in a boating accident late yesterday. I lost touch with his mom when they moved from our area. What a nightmare this is for his family and friends. He was only seventeen it breaks my heart to hear this. We never know when a life will end. May God be with them all.

    Losing a child is an abomination, regardless of age. They have not yet had time to live and the parents have not had time to see them live their lives. A mess.

    Lord God, ever caring and gentle we commit to your love this one, quickened to life for so short a time Enfold him in eternal life We pray for his parents who are saddened by the loss of their child Give them courage and help them in their pain and grief May they all meet one day in the joy and peace of your kingdom We ask this through Christ our Lord.
