When I was 3, my babysitter (a 17 yr old girl) and her best friend took me to the community pool with them. There were boys there, they got caught up in socializing, and left me in the shallow end to fend for myself. I almost drowned. The lifegaurd had to come get me and he asked my babysitter to accompany me out of the water. Needless to say, she was angry at me, and took me home. lol

I'm still afraid of water I can't see the bottom in.

Don't loose hope friend this is a life challenge for you. Water is a giver of life as well. You were young it was traumatic expect that you will struggle with this. Accept that you are scared for a good reason. Trauma in early life leaves an imprint on our brains. Did you know that it takes about 21 days to reroute a pathway( mode of thinking ) in your brain. You are reaching out and not dwelling with your fear.You will heal from this. And be stronger on the other side .<br />

Courage is not always the magnanomous roar we expect. Often times it's the small voice at the end of the day that whispers. "I'll try again tomorrow"<br />
<br />
Be brave friend life is as brilliant as we see it.<br />

One love, given freely, to everyone!
