Why do you care what women talk. I think its not the women. Its your job. You need a change. Doing just an Admin job for like 7 years is hell. I myself am sick and tired of programming for the last 4 years. Started blogging (now at http://www.clbuzz.com) as a passion and now its become much more than a passion for me. Totally Addicted to the net. That keeps me off the office boredom when I get back home.

And mate... You need a job rotation. Try out new things.. I can imagine how sad an Admin job would be. It lacks creativity unless you are constantly learning new things. But that I am sure you would not be doing.

Well of course I don't want to be unhappy in what I do because I wouldn't be fulfilling my potential, and I have been there a long time (A lot longer than I thought I would be!) So maybe I do need to go in a new direction now...Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it!

I totally agree with you. There has been a long running argument over something stupid with three of the women in my office, it's a place where most of them work shifts, and now they all refuse to work the same shift together. That is probably a good thing for the three of them, but it does affect everyone else in the office even if we're not involved! Like I said it's not my job that I hate but I have been looking at other opportunities in the last couple of days just to get out of there. I'm just sad that a few people will drive me away from doing something that I like, but I really can't stand office politics anymore!!

The best time to find a job is when you already have a job. And, I see tons of openings for administrative jobs. So, don't waste another day stuck in your rut. Go on Craigslist and see what's there. Good luck.
