have had an admin job for the last 7 years and I used to like it but not anymore. I don't like the office environment, and I can't stand the attitude of many of my co-workers. I work with both men and women and I have to say that it's the women who appear to be the cause of many of the problems. There is always a hell of a lot of whispering and bitching between the girls which I hate and do my best not to get dragged into.
No-one there seems to get along like we used to, actually now that I think about it, it's not actually my job that I hate, I think I just need to work with different (much nicer) people!

  | Posted Jun 8th, 2008 at 5:20PM The best time to find a job is when you already have a job. And, I see tons of openings for administrative jobs. So, don't waste another day stuck in your rut. Go on Craigslist and see what's there. Good luck.   |

There has been a long running argument over something stupid with three of the women in my office, it's a place where most of them work shifts,and now they all refuse to work the same shift together. That is probably a good thing for the three of them, but it does affect everyone else in the office even if we're not involved! Like I said it's not my job that I hate but I have been looking at other opportunities in the last couple of days just to get out of there. I'm just sad that a few people will drive me away from doing something that I like, but I really can't stand office politics anymore!! |
| Posted Jun 14th, 2008 at 4:32PM Well of course I don't want to be unhappy in what I do because I wouldn't be fulfilling my potential, and I have been there a long time (A lot longer than I thought I would be!) So maybe I do need to go in a new direction now...Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it! |
