H1n1 Excuse

A personal story in the experience: I Need An "Awww Helllll No" Button
S ince the H1N1 outbreak our company policy is anybody with flu like symptoms no question asked sick time off, Well everybody suddenly has the flu on Pay day or weekend after pay day

lol. I wonder if the boss suspect they're lying about their illness? if so, he/she should do something about it

We can't its company policy sooo I can ask for a doctors excuse but thats soooo troublesome in itself, so my workers can call in sick anytime they have flu like symptoms

I know I laugh every time they call in, I wish i could play the messages from my phone, they even do the fake cough and voice.

It's crap like this that makes it hard for companies to be responsible. You try to be a good corporate citizen and make it easier for people to stay home so the disease can be contained, and people take advantage. So what happens? The privilege gets revoked and then everyone gets sick. To me, taking advantage of a public safety precaution should be a fire-able offense. At minimum. That's just wrong.
