I never thought I'd allow myself to play the fool again.
Believe the sweet lies again.
Trust my heart with one unworthy again.
Tempt fate again.
Too eager to feel that familiarity again.

I never thought I'd fall victim to cruel hands again.
Feel the pain of dejection again.
Hear the hate blurred words again.
Witness the inhumanity again.

I never thought I'd be ever so lonely again.
Cohabitating under one roof again.
Feel so cold again.
Without loving touches again.
Long to run far and fast again.

I never thought I would dread waking again.
Trying to be invisible again.
Walking on egg shells again.
Being avoided like disease again.

I never thought...

    i've always heard we had to kiss a lot of frogs before we finally kissed our Prince. I belive each frog teaches us something while our lips are locked on them. We arent fools when we dicover that under the prince mask was indeed a frog...Or someone else's prince, rather. The thing is if we dont keep kissing them, we dont learn and we'll NEVER come across that one frog that is indeed a prince. So, just because things havent gone the way you planned, dont give up. There is still laughter and good feelings to be had...and maybe lessons...when its time, the prince will arrive.
