i can help

hi,

ok so here you are saying help. Hey I do that all the time..the great thing about it is that help is always there if you want it. I guess you just need to ask the right question, which it seems you are, and listen. Sometimes the answers don't come from others..maybe they are in you too. Everybody has problems. Life is hard. The thing is how we deal with it. You know in my life, and I am a pretty successful person, I have had more failures and more bad experiences than you can imagine, but guess what? It happened to me for a reason. I am stonger now and able to handle things that other people cant. Just remember that while recovering. Your pain is also your gain. You can help others, help yourself and make something out of it. If you ever look at those really successful people in life, do you see them having a rosy childhood and everything perfect? NO..they don't last. The real success stories are those that have been through crap and have seen rock bottom and from that made the decision that they wanted to do something. With that experience and knowledge..you have that advantage my friend. I am a true attestament to that. But it wasn't easy...and nothing worthwhile is...so all I have to say is hang in there..keep that shred of hope and look for the answers that you need to solve your questions and your puzzle. You will find it and when you do...woah....you will see. Sending a big hug from a friend that understands...

Well as you can see there are lots of people who want to help you. The only way I have been able to quit bad habits is by staying away from them. Find ways to keep yourself from being around people who make you want to do them, and get some good habits to replace them.

I don't know if I could help, but I also have an Eating Disorder, OCD, and addiction problems...
Dear Ifeelsoalone:
I agree with the 3 comments to your story, but I'd like to add that you are telling us that you have serious problems that must be evaluated and treated by a specialized therapist.
Darling, I lost my eldest son to suicide two years ago, when he was 20, I've been battling depression since I was 12, and my second son has bipolar disorder.
Of course we, your EP friends will do everything we can to help you, but my experience says you need medical care and you need it now.
All my prayers are with you. Take good care of yourself and at least talk to a responsible adult close to you that can help you find a doctor.
