Unhappy With Fiance Drinking

i have been with my boyfriend for 5 years. we have a wedding date set in may 2011. He sometimes drinks too much and makes poor decisions with drinking. Like tonight....he just started a new job 3 weeks ago and is on a 90 day probation period, where he is not supposed to be late, call in etc. He works 3rd shift. He left at 1pm today with a friend to go to a lake and swim. He drank and is intoxicated, although not drunk like usual. He is supposed to be to work in 15 min. I dont know what to do, because i dont want to live my life wondering if he will ever stay at a job. When we first met, he told me he was an alcoholic. He had the same job for 5 years, then last june 2009 he was fired from it, got a new job in august 2009, stayed until this march 2010 and then got the one he has now 3 weeks ago. I have been thru numerous jobs as well, but i quit them because i didnt want to work them anymore. It sounds hypocritical. Now i have had the same job since jan 2009, i love it and i am in school to be a vet tech. I want to talk to his mom, but she is older and has some health issues so i feel like i shouldnt make things worse for her, but she is aware of his past and drinking habits. He has 3 sisters but i feel like talking to them would just be a burden and that they have their own life and issues to deal with. Please someone talk to me and help me.

Talk to him about this, about how you feel about this, and what risks it poses for him directly and you in-directly. i dunno about talking to his mom but u mentioned the 3 sisters - pick the one your most comfortable talking to or the one who you think will have an impact over ur fiance.<br />
it's not just the job you should be worried about, your married life, and if you have kids you wouldn't want an irresponsible alcoholic father for them would you, and most importantly a partner who's an alcoholic. the problem can get bigger, so deal with it at the earliest while it's still manageable. g'luck
