Lost

This market crash has really messed me up. Things were going well for me, then I left a job due to a lack of bussiness (early 2008). Then left a job after a cut in hours (from 40 to 8). Then layed off, rehired, re-layed off. Started temping, they aren't getting much. I'm skilled, my employers like me, I get great reviews/recommendations. I haven't worked in almost 2 months. Unemployment isn't paying my bills.

I'm going to lose my apartment, my car, my phone, lost my self respect.

I feel worthless, useless, pathetic, lost.

Thank you for listening.

Now is a good time to fall.

Thank you for your words. As you say I did lose myself in a bit of self pity last night.

I simply felt like I had to tell someone how I felt. And I don't like to bother friends or family with my problems. Anonymity is great.

No matter what happens I do my best to keep moving forward.
Thank you for listening.

Unemployment is horrible. It brings out the worst.

But please remember that you weren't the first one to have this kind of problem and you won't certainly be the last. You say unemployment does not pay for your bills but nor do self-pity. Don't let it take over your life because you know you are better than that.

I know that deep inside you, you know that you can pick yourself up after all this. You know you can. You just know.

Repeating rocketfingers, "stand back up."

"If you do not climb you will not fall. This is true. But is it that bad to fail, that hard to fall? Sometimes you wake, and sometimes, yes, you die. But sometimes when you fall, you fly. - Neil Gaiman"

And after falling it will be a good time to stand back up. Trust me on this one ! You'll be able to find a chance somehow.
