My soon to be marine is at boot camp and it is the most hardest thing we have ever had to do since march 7, 2006!!! we are both turning 21 this month him on the 7th and me on the 31st.... it is hard with him missing christmas, new years, his b-day, my b-day and v-day!!! I get to seen him a few days before our 4 year ann. which I am happy about but I know the pain will be here for the whole time they have him by contract.... I guess I am just looking for someone to tell me its going to be fine and that its all worth the pain...

It will be more than fine! You will be on a rollercoaster of emotion while he is away but the most important thing is to always try and look at it with a positive outlook. Yes he is gone for 3 months... but just think how much stronger you two will be, how different (and beleive me he WILL be different but for the better) he will be, and how amazing it will feel to see his face, feel his touch and hear his voice for the first time in three months. Write him as much as possible and stay busy. oh yes and btw... my name is sabrina, marine and husband is jonathan, we are expecting our first baby in may =]

My fiance just left for MCRD San Diego on Monday. I know how you feel. When did your guy leave and whats his graduation date? San diego or Parris Island? Happy Birthday! I know it will be a tough birthday for you, but trust me i understand mine is the 10th and his mom told me to come over this weekend, because he left a birthday present for me.

everything is gonna be fine..its all worth the wait. just keep yourself buzy & time will fly by. keep him in you mind & prayers

i just got married with my bf 12/31/09 he'a also a marine..he's been in the military for almost 5 years now. he's in Cali right now training to go to Afghanistan on March.. this will be his 2nd deplyment. when we first started dating he got deployed to Iraq for alomst a yr. IT WAS HARD, but i loved him so much i waited for his return. now this time we desided to get married before he left to Afghan...

It's going to be fine and it's all worth the pain. I added you to my circle if you want a friend and support. I was in the Navy as a Corpsman for six years, deployed with Jarheads like your soon-to-be-marine. The love of my life is in Mexico and I'm in the States on the East Coast. In 2008 we spent more than half the year together spread out over 8 trips and in 2009, we spent NO time together. PAIN!!! We talk everyday & maybe we will never be together is the present possible reality, but I would not trade it for anything!

You will make it kiddo. Don't be afraid to reach out for support!
