He Doesn't Think I'll Be There When He Comes Home. :(

My boyfriend is at his army base waiting to be deployed. We were texting back and forth today and I asked him how he was. He said he was "ok." I also asked him if he was nervous about leaving. He said he wasn't and he loves the Army, it was just that he was nervous about me not being there when he comes home. I've never loved anyone as much as I love him. I can't wait to spend my life with him. We are staying in touch by letters and skype when it is possible, and I'm sure I'll be sending over plenty of care packages. How can I put his mind at ease? Is that even possible, or do I have to wait it out? He knows how much I love him. I tell him everyday. He's always on my mind and there is no one on this earth I'd rather be with than him. Am I overreacting? Can someone give me some advice? Thank you so much!!

I know exactly what your going through. I am newly engaged to a us soldier that will be deploying this week . I tell him how much I love him and I can't wait to marry him when he comes home in nine months. He still worries though. No matter what you do, its going to be in the back of their mind. They try not to compare there relationship to others in the military but they can't help it. So many military relationships seem to fail while one is deployed, so they are gonna think about it. My fiances best friemds wife left hime after 7years . So he worrys constantly. Jus make sure you don't seem to distance yourself from him and make sure you tell him how much you love him & yins will be okay. This is our first deployment experience since we have been together also. So my fiance is worried sick. If you need anything or anyone to talk to you can message me (:
