There Is A Difference

I'm a woman, but more than that, I am a human being, its in our DNA, our make up, to want to be wanted....as a friend, a lover,  to be desired, to be loved but there is a difference between wanting to be wanted and being Needed......
being needed is a dangerous thing, it smacks of desperation on the part of another, of being able to wield power over another person who, because of their 'need' would blindly follow.   I don't ever want to be put in that position where someone needs me soo much it becomes negative, damaging and destructive... you need to be able to stand on your own two feet, with support if necessary but not to rely on someone else for your sense of self.  So yeah, I'm all for being wanted, I'm happy to be wanted.... i bask in the glory of all that is good in being wanted, but please don't ever Need me

very well put :)<br />
needy people tend to drain our energy, that which some call our life force. for me, it has to be a fair exchange. to want and be wanted.

thank you it is so true..... thanks for reading and commenting, x
