I Need To Be Active

I've been trying to lose weight for years, but I am so awful at exercising that it's sickening. Even when I was a healthy weight (which I achieved via a very strict diet only), I was gasping for air and would nearly pass out having to jog in gym class.

But now I've plumped back up to almost 200 pounds and my weight flip-flops a lot too (like I can gain 20 pounds in a month and lose it by the end of that month). I am just so bad at all exercise that I don't even want to do it at all. It's so discouraging when I get winded five minutes into a workout, especially when it's something that is allegedly relaxing like beginner's level yoga. When that happens, it just makes me feel even more fat and disgusting. I can't actually work out long enough to feel a burn because my heart feels like it's going to explode too.

Pretty much the only exercise I'm good at is Dance Dance Revolution, but doing that every single day gets incredibly boring. There are no gyms around here...not even any sidewalks to take a walk. I think I'm just destined to be obese since I can't sustain exercise for too long. I've otherwise tried many other workouts...calisthenics, belly dancing, and just good old-fashioned pushups and crunches. Nothing works but cutting significant amounts of calories.

I wish there was a group called, "I Need To Lose Weight, But I Hate Exercising." That would be a more appropriate place for my griping.

Hi I'd like to help u when will u be online?

There are quite a few youtube videos that give exercise instructions. You can create a couple of playlists of varying lengths and intensities. Even just doing one at a time for five minutes would wake you up and help with motivation.

I can't say if I like dancing or not since I've never really tried it. I have always wanted to learn how to do some basic belly dancing, but the workout video I got was actually intermediate level and I found it went way too fast for me. Someone who is a bit of an expert on plus-size belly dancing pointed me to a particular workout, but I need to save up for it a bit since I have to save every cent for bills.<br />

But sure, I'd love to hear about any kind of dance workout. I see dancing as something that could be "fun exercise." Heck, I've been tempted to turn up some Eurobeat music, put on some funky rainbow jewelry rave/flail right there in my room.

Do you like dancing? I found this great workout that I can do in the comfort of my own home that seems like you are dancing.......

Unfortunately, cable is something I cannot afford right now...not even the basic stuff. I wish I could find a workout routine that works for me and doesn't make me feel even worse, but alas, I've had no luck.

Have you thought about getting Exercise TV (on cable)? It has some really fun and short workouts--like 10 minutes.
