May sound counter-intuitive, but I'm trying to eat more protein and dairy with full fat (ex. 4% dairy fat cottage cheese) so I stay full longer and don't keep binging on the carbs! Your metabolism is unique to you, so you might pay attention to how your body responds to different balances of carb/fat/protein.

What's your weight?
