gained a pound this week :(
got depressed yesterday and self medicated with food. i just could no longer ignore the cravings..and ate some of the things that i've been craving. that food was sooo good! but now im disappointed in myself.. but will try to get back on track. sigh..this crap is hard. those of you that are naturally thin and can eat whatever you want...you are very lucky.

this is getting so f'n hard. i'm an emotional eater...and i've had a stressful day. after work..it took everything in me to not stop and get a baconcheeseburger and some fries..but instead i ate steamed broccoli and chicken. right now, i want to sit here and eat a whole apple pie..instead im snacking on sunflower seeds. this is really NOT easy!! but i know i have to stick to this. last nite, i took a good long look in a full length mirror..and while i noticed improvement..i still wasnt happy with what i saw. sigh.

i stuck to my low carb diet this week and i did lose weight :)
i have new some quick and easy low carb recipes, and i also have places nearby to go and get a low carb meal when i dont feel like cooking. so those things are certainly helping to keep me on track.

i stuck to a 1500 calorie diet religiously this week. even went so far as keeping a food journal, counting the amount of almonds, carrots, etc that i ate. actually it was very easy to stick to this diet plan after months of low carb dieting. i was just excited to be able to eat various foods..even though i had to eat smaller portions. the final results...i gained 2 pounds! so i have come to the conclusion that for me personally, the low carb diet is the only plan that brings me results. so i will go back to it and will not stray. i will give myself a cheat day every now and then so i can enjoy certain foods.

so i lost the 2 pounds that i gained from the wheat belly diet. it has now been 5 months since i restarted my weightloss journey. total weightloss-20 pounds. attributed to a low carb diet.
now at this point in my journey...im ready to switch it up. cutting carbs works but can leave you feeling very deprived. so im going to give my original diet another try...1500 calories a day. i think im more disciplined now and will be able to stick with it. i look forward to being able to add some of the foods that i've had to sacrifice for the last 5 months. however i will certainly use moderation and portion control. 15 more pounds to go...i will do it!

so for the past week i've been trying out the "wheat belly diet". i listened to someone that told me that all i had to do is eliminate wheat and use portion control.. i gained 2 pounds. after doing some reading...i now realize that in order for this diet to work, you have to cut out wheat AND cut carbs dramatically. which means that the weight loss is attributed to the low carbs NOT eliminating wheat. now, i dont doubt that cutting out wheat is great for certain health issues. but as far as weightloss goes...cutting carbs is the way to go and what im going back to....

so its been 6 weeks since i restarted my weightloss journey. i just weighed..and my total weightloss so far is 13 pounds :) seeing results when i step on the scale is definitely what has been keeping me on track. its such a wonderful feeling! i've come to enjoy eating healthy, low carb meals. i did cheat twice last week...once at our thanksgiving potluck at work and then another time i had a small order of fries. so im happy that i still lost weight in spite of that. i still have not done a single minute of exercise. 22 more pounds to go!

so its been 4 weeks since i restarted my weightloss journey. my total weight loss so far is 9 pounds. i've been doing well this time around and what i feel has helped me the most is that i now allow myself to have one cheat meal a week. usually its pizza or chicken wings/french fries. the rest of the week..i watch my carbs religiously. i do NOT exercise at all. i do plan to buy an ab machine and i will start working out on that to flatten and tone my stomach. but as far as cardio..i've given up on that. i get tired too quick and i feel like doing a minimum amount of cardio is useless. 26 more pounds to go!

i did so good this week! i sat down and came up with a whole new diet regimen..one that is realistic for me. i also figured out where i was going wrong in my last journey. i lost 7 pounds this week..but i dont want to get too excited. i usually lose weight fast in the beginning but then the weight loss tends to slow down. i feel so much better since i've started back eating healthy. i've decided against taking diet pills/appetite suppressants. i know i can do this simply by eating better and increasing my water intake. im determined to stay on track this time...i have 28 more pounds to go.

    im a failure :(
here it is 4 months later and my weight is back up to what it was when i started this journey. i'm very disappointed in myself. for the past 2 weeks..i havent even been trying. havent exercised and have been eating bad. i plan to start over on monday,10/8. i cant seem to do this on my own so im thinking of joining weight watchers or perhaps finding a doctor that will prescribe a weight loss supplement for me. i need some support this time around. so if anyone wants to join me or support me in losing weight..feel free to leave a comment or send me a PM.

so weight wise...i havent lost any additional weight. however i have been working out 5 days a week religiously and im noticing some results! my stomach and waist are smaller and im starting to notice more firmness overall. YAY! still a ways to go but thats definitely the motivation that i needed to keep me going. now im determined to stick to it.

okay so im just getting home from the mall. trying on clothes today really gave me a reality check. i have no problem with being thick and voluptuous..however i do have a problem with not being as firm as i used to be. i've really got to start exercising more or something. this is depressing..

Congratulations, sounds like you are off to a great start! I have also been gaining weight lately, I attributed it to a slowing metabolism, as I just turned 50 years old. I am not obese, I only weigh about 160, but I have never had a belly problem, and don't want to start one now. So, I decided that this is the year to start an exercise regimen. It's not working out too well so far. Work too much, never seem to have enough time. I'm going to keep trying to fit in some time to work out, I know I have to start taking care of my health. I hope you are still on track to meet your goal. Have a good night!

thank you! im still sticking with it...but it is NOT easy! yes, a slow metabolism is probaly correct..thats what i attribute my weight gain to. its tough having to worry constantly about my weight but thats what i have to do now since i hit the big 4-0. as far as exercise..ive been doing really well..the best exercise for someone that doesnt like working out or doesnt have a lot of time to work out is an elliptical or treadmill in front of the tv. you can do just 20-30 mins a day..it may not seem like much but trust me it will make a difference. now when it comes to food...thats my weak point. so when i do cheat and eat something bad..i only have a small portion of it. i wish you the best in your journey and thank you for commenting :)
