I Need to Lose Weight
so i weighed myself yesterday...and i have gained 17 pounds in the past 6 months. i wonder if turning 40 has something to do with this. i've never been a bird eater and never before have i gained weight at this pace. no, im not obese but im bigger than i would like to be. i've always been thick and curvy and i love it! i would never want to be stick thin. but i would like to lose about 35 pounds. i'm definitely an emotional eater and i love good food..cant stand rabbit food. when i eat breakfast, i start thinking about and looking forward to what im going to have for lunch and then dinner. i get cravings for certain meals...and i just have to have them. wings,baconcheeseburgers,french fries,spaghetti,apple pie, fried chicken,bananna pudding etc. yum! yum! i love to eat and tend to overeat.
exercise..oh how i hate it. i've tried getting up early in the mornings before work to work out but end up hitting the snooze button and going back to sleep..so now i'm trying to work out after work but sometimes i'm just too tired. i do manage to get on my elliptical about 3 times a week for about 20 minutes. i've been wanting to take a trip home but im too embarrassed to let my family/friends see me like this. especially my mom who has always been very critical of my weight. i already feel bad enough..i dont need any negative comments. earlier this week..i started taking some over the counter diet pills that i bought from walmart. they worked great at curbing my appetite and gave me a boost of energy to the point where i didnt feel too tired to come home and work out. however i started to feel dizzy and felt my heart racing so i had to stop taking them. someone suggested that i try taking a prescription appetite suppressant...so i hopped on the phone and called my doctor to request them. he shot me down..saying that he doesnt prescribe them. said he believes in good ole diet and exercise. said the most that he will do is refer me to a dietician. so it is my intention to try to get this weight off on my own. i'm going to start eating better. im going to clear out all of the junk in my kitchen and go shopping for healthy food. im going to drink more water and also increase my exercise to 5 times a week. it's going to take a lot of discipline and self control but i really hope i can do this!

weight loss so far- 21 pounds :)
exercise- none. honestly, i just hate exercising! so i dont do it...
diet plan- low carb. i eat low carb meals/ snacks. i allow myself one cheat meal per week. i drink water/ crystal light only. no soda or juices. i have one cup of coffee a day with equal. i've tried other diets and low carb is hands down the best one for me personally. it brings results, and doesnt require exercise in order to lose weight
goal- i have 14 more pounds to go
