Born to Smoke

I think I was born addicted to nicotine and alcohol.  My parents are both heavy smokers and alcoholics and I think I was born with the addiction.  I picked up cigarettes at age 12.  Now I smoke every chance I get.  I am sick of it but cannot seem to stop, although I am trying to cut down.  Even if I skip one cigarette, one usual smoke opportunity, that is a step in the right direction.

I haven't tried Chantix. The patch and nicotine losenges work okay for me. Yesterday cut back a little, smoking less and when do smoke, a few times I haven't been finishing. My dad tried Chantix but he didn't get the 'scrip refilled and just kept on. He's 71 and my mom is 70 and I'm just waiting for one of them to be diagnosed with lung cancer or drop dead of a heart attack or stroke. He said the only side effect was weird dreams.
