I Take Care Of Everyone But Me

Overall, I am a very creative, hard working individual. I have raised my children - giving them my all. I have supported my husband through the ups and downs in life. I have been there for my parents, my siblings and anyone who needs a helping hand. I am generally a happy person. However, in the process I have really let myself go. The worst part is that I am having trouble getting myself back in order. My weight, my hair, my clothes (because I am overweight), my...everything...I don't know what to say, except for oops...I forgot to pay attention to me. I think I believed that I would be okay no matter what. Well, at some given point I forgot to take a second to pay attention to my own needs. I just want to feel good, not worry about which clothes I can't wear, and get on with being healthy. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed. Thanks :)

Consider this day YOUR DAY for the rest of your life. Every day do something for you, and let everyone in the household know this is the way it will be now. You have support them, it is now their time to support you.
Before you do this, be sure you know what you want to do. Diet, just cut back and don't neglect yourself. BE more aware of what you are putting in your mouth and why. Exercise, if you can purchase a treadmill and start walking 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days, it's cheaper than joining a gym. When the weather gets better [depending on where you live] get out and walk.
Take care!
