I never use an umbrella in the rain I always wear a rubber mackintosh. As the rain falls you can see the droplets falling on to shiny rubber surface of the mackintosh .

    Amen to that! Though I must admit that lately I've been deriving pleasure from bringing an umbrella with me to offer to any ill-prepared strangers who stare jealously at me as I get ready to venture out into the storm fully clad in rubber raingear from head to toe. The look of gratitude on their faces is priceless, especially when it's a mother with small children. If I'm at a store & they're burdened down with shopping bags I'll even offer to carry the bags for them so they can comfortably shelter themselves & the kids with the umbrella without a struggle.
