Curse of the Gods

1961 was no doubt a good year for many .

As MAD Magazine pointed out on its cover for the March 1961 issue, this was the first "upside-up" year—i.e., one in which the numerals that form the year look the same as when the numerals are rotated upside down—since 1881, and the last until 6009.

Wow so cool  and electric toothbrushes first introduced ."Barbie" gets a boyfriend when the "Ken" doll is introduced .

Movies were West Side Story ,The Hustler,Judgment at Nuremberg ,La Dolce Vita .

Patsy Cline sang, "I Fall to Pieces" and "Crazy"

And president John F Kennedy was elected and said my fellow Americans: "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country." And My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man."

By December the 11th when i was born , the Vietnam War officially begins, as the first American helicopters arrive in Saigon along with 400 U.S. personnel.

On that same date another war was starting for me , the war of the gods .The God of the bible combined with the man made gods within the cult i was born into , were about to set upon a path to distroy for myself and my family any hope of a normal life .Some would say it was fueled by biblical ignorance and/or wrongful transulations , but never the less these godlike leaders within the cult proceeded to split and devide us with such ease and totally void of any remorse .We were no more than animals it seemed only fit for use and consumption , a disposable commodity . Expendable with the knowledge that the cults own laws of non use of contraceptives allowed for the promiss , that there would be plenty of new subjects of use and abuse to be continued to be born .

As for any "freedoms" they were few and far between , life was like some totally pre planned recipe .Cult meetings were 7days a week including all day on sunday with the first meeting sunday starting at 6am .Missing a meeting was considdered like tempting god to leave you behind in the rapture , so much so that i can only just remember as a very young child a time when on the way to one of these meetings .When sitting in the backseat of a car being driven by my mother i made the mistake of leaning on the door handle and going around the corner it opened and i was thrown from the car onto the road ,recieving cuts and bruises .With blood and gravel on my face we still proceeded on to keep the religious appointment , such was the fear of the damnation of ever missing the fine words of these man gods at these prestigious meetings .

Freedoms ?? . Banned were Tv`s radios tapedecks record players , one never went to the movies and even school trips with the other kids didnt happen .Participation in school sports and having any friends outside the cult , not allowed .Hair for males was to be kept extremely short at a time when most other kids had theirs a bit long , there was a need to stand away in school assemblys when the other kids at the school all sang the national anthem "god save the queen " such was the madness of seperation from  all those who were not in fellowship with us . Beaches even became places where the devil roamed , due to bikini`s and swim suits that might be seen .

Rules were endless , freedoms were a word of no meaning .

Before i reached my teens half of my immediate family had been split and devided those still within ceased contact with the total excomunication of those now out who were also treated as if now physically dead .Even a surprise chance meeting downtown on some street between those still in  and those excomunicated  , was met by those still in with total disgust revulsion and even hatered . Culminating in the act of the in cult member crossing the street so as to not have to be defiled by any closeness of contact with the excomunicated  member.

Atleast one of my family members was treated to one these supposed heavenly acts of excomunication for the only crime of having the audacity , to suggest one of these god like leaders was infact commiting adultary .Only later for it to be proved to be very correct about the claims they had made , many sad and heartbreaking years after the excomunication and invoking of the nasty religious token type death penalty had long been ordered and executed of course.A bit late for the real truth of matters to be taken into account ! .

But not even this type of total miscarriage of justice even serves to awaken these religious cult members from their spell like slumber or manages to breath even afew new microns of real love into their bible hardened souls .Its a quick oh we might have made a little mistake , sanctified (i can only guess) by self serving thoughts of they moved infront of those godly men we leave to deal with these matters . And without much futher thought , its business as usual carry on ! .Like rats following the pied pipers .

Yes i tell you i believe the curse of the gods is a very real thing in this world , should i  get much enjoyment out of reliving what feels like a never ending nightmare i might lengthen my post to account with many more of the atrocitys within this religious belief system i have experienced .But my post would become so very much longer and incase you are already bored , i will now cease from my story .Should you feel inclined to wish to find out more , imformation might be best found within a site known as peebs.net . In finishing i will just say the fine words of J.F.K "My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." has little resonance within my thoughts of what is actually reality .While these many religious cults and beliefs continue to be allowed free reign out of a supposed freedom of religious belief to reek havoc and dismantle peoples lives , the words of "freedom" is almost a myth in my mind. And that in 2008 many still turn a blind eye to these things the words "what together we can do " is still but a dream that until i see good reason to think otherwise in my mind holds little hope or reality of fact .

There is many folk posting blogs complaining of what they see as militant atheism on the net at the moment .With such ease when faced with matters such as this at the flick of a thought they remove any concience of these religious atrocitys by claiming we cannot be included in these nasty matters , our particular faith has no blood on its hands within the church we personally chose to fellowship with . Our church faithful do no wrong . 

Yet i ask how much effort do we see these folk putting into help in clearing these matters up ? , it seems they have much more interest in voting those in who would war overseas and maybe seek to change a Muslim and that within Islam .
