Excuses For A Bad Memory.

have an amazing memory for all sorts of things...that interest me!
I have a terrible memory for things that do not interest me.
Somethings, I know, should interest me and are important, but at times my head is so crammed with other things that there doesn't seem to be space. Peoples names are a really difficult issue for me, especially if I see people away from the environment I am used to seeing them in. I have terrible problems with recognising people, unless I know them really well, but I am skilled at talking my way through until I remember (lol).
I know that some of my difficulties relate to Aspergers and luckily many of my friends know me well and put it down to scattiness rather than stupidity.
I often try to excuse myself by laughing it off and say things such as 'Oops, I'm having an Aspergers moment!' or 'Oops, I'm having a blonde moment !'. A friend I know often says 'Oops, I'm having a senior moment!'
What excuses do you make for your forgetfulness?

 Feeling indescribable  | Posted Nov 4th, 2009 at 2:59PM Artistaeli I feel with / for your difficulty at times and appauled you courage in maintaining and fighting throught The difficullt times of/ when in inter action. sometimes it comes in handy just being different tho, like for instance me. you give those whom your not interested in a offin' kinda starry look and most likely they'll leave ya alone..lol Me closed head shot to front lobes but I'm fine almost LOL Good luck, wish ya the best...:)   |
