I Still Battle It Everyday

But I know how to beat it. It's taken some alternative methods, a lot of work and a lot of money-but it works for me. I have learned how to cope when the feelings come and how to let them go. I also realize that I will ALWAYS have to deal with depression.

Hey, i'm glad to hear you're making such good progress. Indeed, its not an easy illness to treat & at least you've manage to identify the suspected casues, & that's more than half a battle won.
Theer are defiantley those who have been cured as well as controlled mgt, hope u make good progress.

You may or may not believe in it...but I went to a natural healer. She ran a bunch of test that MDs don't run. I found out that I have an iodine deficiency as well as heavy metal toxicity. I'm now taking supplements to battle this. Along with this, I have changed my diet to eliminate certain food which may have contributed to the toxicity.
Essentially, I got so tired of psychiatrists, pills, therapists. I have been working with my healer for about a month and feel like I'm 21 again. Yes, there are moments, hours, days where the depression comes back. However, it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. I can manage it.

natural healer?

So....for those of us still drownding, how did you do it????
