I Overcame Failures

I'd failed secondary school with next to nothing grades, I thought that was it, I was going to achieve nothing, why would? I'd failed, and it didn't matter it was out of illness in the last two years there. I then spotted an opportunity in a college course, and began the long road to trying to some sort of success of myself, I began from the very beginning all over again. Lower level Science, English, Maths, you name it, I retook it. I then after 2 years got high grades and a Diploma in Science. I saw my friends move away to Universities and I felt like I was always 2 steps behind them. I finally got to take my A Levels, once my first year was up, I found out that yes.....I'd again failed! I felt like giving up and very nearly did, but I was pushed into the right direction and again I retook them with this rare opportunity I was given. So again I pushed myself for a further 2 years and completed my A Levels. I'd been at college for 5 years and proved to everyone that yes.... I'd failed, and done it many times, but I made something for myself. It was hard but I know that it was impossible like I always thought! Anyone can overcome any sort of failure as long as you want to!

Wonderful story Laura. You learned an important lesson. Perseverance is one of the most powerful characteristics of a successful person and you have it squared! By definition you are a tremendous success and a winner!
