I Don't Believe You

Reality is only perceived,
What you see and hear.
As years advance,
and senses fail.
The flowers you can't see,
The words you cannot hear.

Have they ceased to be?
For you they have,
and that is real.
It is not the truth,
It is what you feel.

Can my will,
overcome the evidence,
of my senses?
Or am I lost forever,
Believing what I feel,
When I'm not sure of what I see?

And if the things that I want,
Are not for me to know,
Will this alter the senses of my heart?
Will those dreams let me go?
