Www.impacnow.orgThank you for allowing me this time to introduce myself and my foundation. My
name is David Moore and I am a disabled veteran of the United States Air Force
suffering with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I have been fighting MS for 12 years now
and am currently undergoing a chemotherapy treatment known as Tysabri to
slow the worsening of disability that is common in patients with MS and
decrease the number of flare‐ups (relapses).
After the onset of MS in my life and witnessing family and friends struggle and
die from various diseases, I had a vision to create a foundation that gives hope
and improves the quality of life for individuals and their families coping with the
affects of illnesses such as MS, cancer, diabetes and heart disease.
I am excited to announce that my vision became a reality earlier this year when I
founded the IMPAC Now Foundation. Surrounded by a diverse and very talented
Board of Directors and support staff, I am now ready to expand the foundation
and am seeking help from people like you who want to make a difference in the
lives of others in their community.
There are many non‐profit organizations existing today whose primary goal is to
raise funds for research so a cure can be found for the disease. Unlike these
organizations, IMPAC Now exists to help eliminate the smaller challenges that
arise as a result of an individual’s affliction including but not limited to finances,
medical equipment, therapy, counseling, referrals, and other physical and
emotional needs. We leave the research to the experts and put our efforts into
equipping medically challenged individuals with perseverance, hope,
information and tools to take control of their life‐changing conditions.
Outside of the traditional fundraising methods, IMPAC Now is partnering with
DM Productions in the theatrical performance, “4 Months to Live” to raise funds
and awareness for IMPAC Now. Featuring all original music, “4 Months to Live”
depicts the real‐life stories (cancer and pregnancy out of wedlock) of two
mothers faced with personal tragedies that leave them heartbroken, angry,
confused and asking “why me?” This stage play will tour nationwide and be a
major contributor of funds for IMPAC Now.
HELP THE MEDICALLY CHALLENGED “STAY IN THE FIGHT TO SURVIVE”
Starting up any business whether for‐profit or not, is challenging especially
without the appropriate funds. I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider
partnering with my foundation by making a tax‐deductible donation
