Parking Meters

I get such a kick out of putting coins in expired meters on random cars RIGHT BEFORE the parking patrol guy/girl get to it and issue tickets. I get such a rush knowing that I have saved someone quite a bit of money for spending just a quarter. (I know the flip side of this is that I denied the city this fee blah, blah, blah; the city can get it somewhere else and kiss my ***).
Of course I have to do it as discretely as possible because I'm not sure if that's against the rule/law or what. Better be safe. But if the patrol person sees me, he (or she) doesn't know if that's my car!!!!!
If I happened to be walking or even driving down a street and see the patrol car and the patrolman issuing tickets, I would stop, get ahead of him/her about 5 or 6 meters and start putting coins in expired meters - making sure that's the last ticket he/she write (at least for this street).

That's a great idea! If I lived in the city, I would do that too...sneakily.

Unfortunately I have been informed it is against the law. I got caught doing it. They get very nasty about such things. The city considers it stealing from them. So keep on ...just be really careful not to get caught. Turns out the folks who do the meters tend to be Way less nice than the regular police officers.

That's what I thought as well: not legal. That's why I'm doing without them knowing. Of course I can always outrun them. Heh, heh, Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone in this activity.
