I Play Chess
Apparently I learned to play chess when I was 3, I don't doubt this but I'm no prodigy. I used to get frustrated when other young kids didn't know how to take turns, and years later in primary school still nobody in my class knew how to play. For the first few years of high school there was a club for it, which gave us access to some interesting off-limits rooms with very comfortable chairs and fancy conference tables, I was one of the better players. I played once more in school a few years later in the sixth form because there was a competition going on, I went there to take the prize money and that's what I did.
I play at home occasionally, well very rarely. I've wondered whether I should try learning chess strategy (instead of relying on my intuition), maybe I would enjoy being able to compete with people who take it seriously. I'll probably buy a decorative chess set when I own a house, I remember a chess table carved out of stone, with carved ivy running up the side... this is why I couldn't partner myself with someone stupid.
Well that's all I've got on chess.
