I love to play Jazz! My main instrument is the saxophone. I can play all of them, this is why I usually don't specify the sax.  I also double on flute, and or clarinet. : ) Jazz wasn't my first genre, but I grew to love it quickly.  I've been playing it for about 7 years or so now. : )

Awesome! I'm starting to get into Jazz and I just picked up tenor. My main instruments are oboe and English horn and this is my first single reed and I'm thrilled about getting the opportunity to play jazz. I also enjoy Count Basie and Charlie parker as well.

newer stuff. grover washington, fausto papetti definitely, herb alpert, flute- is it james galway, panflute oh my.

Sweet. I've got a friend that loves Glen Miller stuff with a passion.

benny goodman, glen miller stuff. i listen and play.<br />

I like combo type stuff. I like swing if I'm playing with people that know how to swing on a vine in hurricane force winds! I'll play latin combo type stuff.. I like Charlie Parker songs (Hey.. sax pla<x>yers.. lol. We all do pretty much) umm.. let's see, I like the good old stuff, if the pages haven't turned yellow, chances are you won't find me playing it. : ) Things with real groove, I like punctuated songs. I like blues, and I love just sitting around with a good group of pla<x>yers and having a "conversation". oh! and stuff from the 1940s .. for some reason I have a thing for music in the 1940s. the big band era had some good stuff come out of it. Count Basie had a fun style. It really has a lot to do with the people you're playing with. Some people are fun to play blues with but not so much swing because strictly blues pla<x>yers tend to drag.. and swing pla<x>yers tend to rush blues.. at least from what I've noticed.
