Pressures Of All Day Training...

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this group, and I've read a few stories. It's always nice to talk to fellow tennis players who enjoy the sport, and are also competitive at the same time. Well, I've been playing for about 12 years now, I'm 18 btw, and I've been training pretty much every day of my life (I take rest days on the rare occasion). The physical strains on my body have been tough at many points in my life, sometimes to the point that I couldn't move my legs the next day. The mental strain has been equally taxing, and my schedule makes it hard for me to just go out and chill with my friends.. (anyone else know what I'm talking about??) The road to where I am now has been rough, and my coach, who is also my uncle, and I have been seriously debating whether I should make the step to college, or the substantial step to professional. I understand this may seem like I am being a little self-absorbed, but there is so much pressure around my decision, and I would appreciate any input that could help out my decision.... Thanks to the EP community, I would appreciate any and all feedback :)

I would say go to college before you try the pros that way you have a fall back. btw D1 is a good stepping stone before the tour.
