have given my best to all that i wanted

now what

fought for a dream and lost

now what

gave all my energy to what i loved am empty handed

believed the lies of possibility

now what

tried to be a functional human being and failed now what

loved the ones who should have loved me with nothing in return

given parts of myself to others in friendship only to have it handed to me in shreds

now what

My soul is a darkened place; the lights have simply gone out

My heart is broken in all the wrong places and bleeding too

My mind is not what it used to be an expanse of tiny hurts, bad memories and disappointments

the emotions are frayed and fired like bad wires and old rope

there is no light behind these eyes

the spirit is weak... fading fast

And the body begs to follow after

Give it up, and live for what life has to offer. Cut yourself, start doin heroin. C'mon, all the cool kids are doing it!

you wouldn't uderstand no one does

Your poems have so much truth to them, experience seems to be your teacher. When we learn that we as a species have very complex problems in our lives we begin to believe the darkness in our souls. Distress is born of these, Please step back for a moment and come back to the positive side so that you do not become a part of this darkness. Even Edgar Allen Poe took time to rejuvinate his writing skills. You already seem to be sad, thats ok it's a real human emotion as long as we don't let it rule our lives. I don't know you so it's very unfair for me to make assumtions about your life. Please teach me who you are and I promise to do the same!
