Opening Space For The Life Force To Flow

This idea I heard from Gil Fronsdal in some of his talks. He says, we might not be in control of concentration, mindful or blissful states. Our job in meditation and in leading a virtuous life to open space for our true nature to flow. And opening space means settle enough during mediation in the body, in the breath etc for the mind to calm down somewhat. It doesn't need to be perfect.

I meditated 70 minutes yesterday following this principle, just staying with the awareness of body sensations, sounds in the ear, awareness of awareness, while releasing thoughts and body energies (emotions), regarding them as just that: thoughts and body energies.

All in all, very little restlessness, more trust, more calm and letting go.
