One Day At a Time

Hello all-

My name is Shannon.  I am 33-years old and have been smoking since I was 14-years old.....19 LONG years.  I started taking Chantix on July 28th and my actual "quit" day was Monday August 6th.  I have not smoked any cigarettes since Sunday August 5th at 8:30pm.  I am going on approximately 40-hours smoke-free.....YAY!!!  Good for me.  For the avid smoker even 1-hour is too long without a cigarette.  I hope that I can stay strong and keep up the good work.

I joined this group for support, becasue unfortunately, I don't feel as though I have the support and encouragement amongst friends and family that I am looking for.  I only get an "OH! good", here and there.  I am not looking for cart wheels or anything just a bit more enthusiasm from someone trying to encourage me or show me that they support me and are proud of me.

I wish all the luck in the world to all members on here that are trying to stay smoke-free.  WE CAN DO THIS!!!!
