Love Those Fresh Eggs and the Reliable Alarm Clock.

I'm not sure how long I've raised chickens.  I was trying to figure this out a couple of days ago when my oldest rooster died.  I was planning on hatching out a batch of eggs this spring, but waiting for warmer weather, but this tragic event sped things up.  I collected every egg I had that had not been washed and put them in the incubator.  Fourteen eggs total are being kept, but I have already had one night were the temperature dropped to about 98 degrees and one power outage.  Wish me luck, between myself and my friends there are about ten people who depend on my eggs.

Good luck with the hatch! If you need a new rooster there are always free ones given away by people too soft to cull, ou should be able to replace him.

I had my bator drop to 80 ish on the last day before hatch due to power problems. I had 4 of 20 hatch. Good luck.
