I have always wanted to go to a prom dressed as a woman. I would wear a strapless dress with a full skirt petticoat or hoop skirt under it -- sort of a southern belle look. It would be fun to have my escort be a woman dressed in a tux. After the prom, if she treated me like a lady (and maybe got me drunk) I would "go all the way"

Hi Kathej, Thank-you for the great coment. There was an organization in the metro Boston area that held a prom for TS/TG/CDers at the Crowne hotel. I think the name may have been TGFE or TFGE. They published a quarterly but alas it was discontinued some years ago. I'l bet if you searched on Tapestry and TG you would find their website. As the prom was quite populat I suspect Tri Ess or another group held the same type of event.

It sounds as if you are very good at finding bargins. And if thiose bargins inspire you to lose weight that that's a plus. Enjoy your purchases. There's always more to find.

Good for you ... yes consignment stores can have some real treasures usually for a reasonable price. Sounds like that prom dress is getting more wear from you than it did from its original owner! ;-)

That's great ... and no doubt that dress also encouraged you to loose that weight and improve your figure too.

Perhaps, more due to job loss and not being able to find another during the recession.

That's a bummer ... but then there can be a bit of a silver lining to that; loosing some weight which helps improve the figure and your clothes fit better.
Hopefully you've found work now ...
