ACIM: Just Starting, But Is It For Me?

I think some people completely miss the point with regard to ACIM. The bible never made sense to me but the Course does completely. And I know it is the Truth. It is very straightforward and easy to understand. The only problem is that it is incredibly hard not to be drawn into this 'dream' and believe it is important and real, whereas in Truth, its just a load of crap, made up by our egos. Can you imagine a world where no-one judges? That's all we need for peace. And why do people go on about Jesus 'dying to save us'...? It doesn't even make sense, as the whole point of the crucifixion was to show that there is no such thing as death, hence the resurrection.

"But then I have to go to work, feed the cat, pay the bills. Nothing illusory about that." Ha, ha, ha...so true! I feel you on that one.



And I'm in the exact same boat as you with regard to this. It's like, really and truly if this is all just an Illusion, I really DO want it to end NOW, because it's getting a bit uncomfortable in this illusion... and I'm not even talking about my own personal life. I'm talking about the state of the world...it's such a mess. If this is just a nightmare, I WANT TO WAKE UP!!!!!! (More than anything else, I WANT TO SEE!)

I stronly beleive in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and , The Son of God and He is not honored as such in the CIM..He's just another profit according to this Book. I draw the line there ..and what does it have to do with the price of eggs? I agree with Max99 on this one.

I am in the UK and there are lots of groups here but if there are no groups presently in your area perhaps you could advertise to begin one or join a mailing group

We have a nice one in the UK which you can access online if you search for "Miracles network uk" you will find the link.



Trust if your meant to be in a group it will come and if not thats fine as well

After all your never alone and the thought that comes to my mind is perhaps your listening so well that a group isnt the right place..................?

I have the course and I could join a study group but darn it it's too far away. Is anyone still studying the book? I found out about it about 1 year ago. I started seeing people at work with the book. So strange.

Well i think its wonderfull that it has come to you and you may well find by now that other writings mean something very different to what they may have before............

What Jesus says in the Bible isnt what much of Religion teaches He spoke of............

Other Scripture also becomes more clear and then you realise its all speaking the same thing :)



Bahai, ACIM, Jesus, Bhudda, Hindi and on and on :)

And in forms that are non Religious to

Teaching goes on all of the time regardless



Seems we have been given the same message over and over...............until we "get it" hehe

By now I have "studied" ACIM for more than one year. I agree with tonyamendola that it is best to simply receive it, to allow it to wash over me, to absorb it without over-thinking. It certainly has allowed me to reconsider my relationship with the world.

In order to understand ACIM you have to ask "what does this mean" and expect the answer

Dont search your mind for it, simply allow it to come :)



It is written in this way so that we ask and recieve :)

How can you read that crap? It's like someone started vomiting up a bunch of words that seem to grammatically go together, but which mean nothing. Should be called "A Course in Unintelligible Blather".
