I Read the Bible Every Day

Just Started Again

As a kid I read my childrens Bible over and over. But as I grew up and started doing Bible studies I became confused and kind of bored. I think its because most the church bible studies I went to skipped around from book to book so much I became disoriented and couldn't remember who anyone was or when certain events took place.

I have a nice study Bible thats a parallel edition that has the new living translation and the King James version. For years its been on my shelf collecting dust. Until 2 weeks ago it had been a few years since I picked up a Bible. I desided it was time because I can't keep living as a Christian not knowing more than half of the Bible's stories. So I started with Genesis and have been reading it in order. I don't read everyday but every other day since I can't just read a couple chapters and put it down. I end up sitting down for 2-4 hours reading. I'm glad that God put the desire in my heart again to read his word.

We are all sinners and even though you have drifted away from reading the bible you are still following one of the most important teachings: helping others. My women's bible study is going to start reading about strong women in the bible in a couple weeks and I'm looking forward to it. God bless.

I used to read the Bible yrs ago but I drifted awaay. I am much older than you and I have sinned many times. Despite sinning, I have never hurt anyone in any way especially emotionally I care about people. I help those that I can.

I switch back and forth from the OT to NT .

Right now I am reading about the strong women in the Bible. They did not get enough credit for what they did. Mewn wrote Gods words

That is awesome! I am glad you are going with your friend. I sent you a message, we will definately talk again. I hope you feel better soon, hang in there. While you are out looking for spoons might you be so kind to bring me a nettle carrier if you should be lucky enough to come across one? (don't risk it if Milferd Cubicle is around, he gets mighty pissed when people take it)

i shall believe in the lord and know that the rusty spoons led me to you, to hear your words. and i am going to go with my girlfriend to her church on friday night. the other day on the way home i just couldnt get her off my mind. she been buggin me to go with her. but 2-3 mos ago, she let up on me, and i called her. then mr. fingers and his rusty spoons let me to your story. and i will talk to you again i hope! things in my life nowadays well, not happy anyhow. trying to keep the faith. i think i will go look for some spoons now. lol. just really enjoyed getting to joke with someone about salad fingers again. :)

Ah yes the rusty spoons! And it was the one who loves the rusty spoons that is your avatar that made me add you not too long ago.

God has different timing with everyone, I don't even know what clicked in me but something just did and I started reading. I hope you are blessed with the desire too. :)
