Celebrated Alone

Had a major accomplishment yesterday. Passed my exam for a professional certification; no one in my corporation or network has achieved this. Maybe I am selfish for being proud, but I studied my *** off for this. And couldn't find anyone who cared.

My "boyfriend" told me he knew I would pass, so it was no big deal. My daughter sent me a text that said, "Woot." I got home after driving two hours from the test center and the house was deserted. Kids were gone for the night. I asked my bf if he wanted to go out and help me celebrate....he said maybe Tuesday.

So I made a sandwich and cleaned the house a little and watched television for a while. Then my mom called, I told her and she was like oh....can you help your brother with his taxes?

I give up. What a great celebration.
