I enjoy satellite radio as well. I have it on my phone so I can enjoy the music/songs I want to hear anytime.

I haven't hooked up up to my phone. I have 3 xm units. One at my bed. One in my bathroom while taking showers and one in my car.

I have slacker...I usually listen to music while cooking, cleaning, painting, and exercising so I wanted something that could go with me... i can play it when im in my vehicle via Bluetooth. there have been mixed reviews about slacker but I'm very happy with it.

I don't have any internet radio software on my phone. I might at some point. I just don't want to tie my phone up with just more stuff. I have DirecTV, ipod, ipad, multiple xm units, computer, and after awhile it all competes against each other for my time and interest. It can get crazy.

I understand with all the electronics stuff I'm the same way but I like the music option on my phone. To each their own.

I get it with the selections of music over the net. I listen to music now and than but I am more of a news and politics junkie than a music lover. I used to be addicted to music as a kid but my tastes have changed a lot in the last 20-25 years.

Yeah I try to avoid news, it's always depressing.

I understand. It can get depressing but without being informed about things your bound to make the wrong decisions and that is much worse than to have a chance and make things right than blowing it. Politics whether you are super informed or a very low information voter effects all of us and because of this I need to know a great deal so I feel as if I have more control over my money, career decisions, my experiences like where to live for a better job, lower taxes, better standard of living, etc It is just more of a priority to keep myself well informed. I know its not for everyone and ai know others might be driven nuts by it but it seems to work for me.

It's not for everyone that's for sure and I'm one of the ones it isn't for.

I understand, I don't blame you for getting turned off by it.
