The Rocky Mountains

When I went to Wyoming on vacation back in 1981 The Grand Tetons grabbed me by the throat and the mountains have not let go of me since. I have been to NM, CO., WY., and Montana and here I am in flat old Texas but since my brother moved to the Denver area I have even more reason to head northwest. I have never done drugs in my life but when I`m up in the mountains I get a Rocky Mountain High. I have written poems about the mountains and have hundreds of photos of them. I am hoping to get up there maybe this fall when the aspen turn gold and the elk bugling can be heard trhu the mountains and maybe a little snowfall. Next year I hope to return to Glacier Nat. Park for a couple of weeks and shoot hundreds of photos, when God made the rockies he was making his country.

Thank you for your comment, I am hoping to maybe go back to Durango in the fall. I will write about Durango tomorrow, I am one of these people on the edge and I feel that I am just a speck of dust in the universe but I am part of the rockies.

Beautifully written, I was right there with you in the Rocky Mountains:)
