I Miss My Dad.

My dad passed away last summer and he was my biggest supporter.  When he was around I always knew everything would be okay.  He believed, like no one else does, that I have what it takes to become a singer.  He always understood and I could always call him and I had a different emotional connection with him than I have with my mom.  I love my mom, don't get me wrong, and she is going through a lot with him being gone too.  I guess it is just a collection of the fact that my dad is gone and my mom is hard to talk to about it because she hurts too, and my siblings are also hard to talk to about it because they are also grieving in the same way.  Plus, they all live 700 miles away.  I really need a hug and, better, an understanding person with a  shoulder to cry on.

Can you get some counseling? Or maybe a bereavement group in a local hospital?

So sorry for your loss and pain. While my parents are alive, they moved last fall about 12 hours away. It's been hard for me too. I'll hug you if you hug me back!

*hugs* I lost my father to he was sort of my best friend. He passed when I was 18 I still miss him. Thank you for sharing your story *S*

[hugs] It's sad to lose someone you care about. And we all grieve differently. So grieve for as long as you feel you need to.
