Born Writer

Ever since I had to write my first short story in grade 3, i've wanted to become a writer...

I always have something to write about, but i think what i'm lacking is confidence in my own ability and imagination...

Over the last few years I've been obsessed by writing my first published works and I can't get it out of my head... whenever I have trouble sleeping, i tell myself a story, whenever i don't have a book to read, i write a few lines of a story... It's like writing and storytelling is a part of me and i can never be untrue to myself...

So my solution was to research everything I could on writing and publishing and now i'm on my way to starting my novel...

It's still scary to think about it, and butterflies fill my stomach everytime I imagine the publishers turn it down, but I know I will never rest in peace untill I have at least tried...

I sooo can relate to those feelings and thoughts. When the story you are telling yourself gets really crazy and looses all touch with reality, that is when you know you're dreaming. Seriously though this is great.
Have you gone to the site, absolutewrite.com. It is a wonderful place for new writers. Over the last year as I was writing my first novel, 'Howard and the Crystal of Jedh' I learned so much on that site. The people on there are great. There are successful authors that give tons of time to help others.
Remember the only way others will get a chance to see your finished novel is for you to keep writing. Good luck and keep at it.

I can relate entirely.
