Seven

There's the basic four: Water and Fire, Earth and Air.

And then there's Light and Dark.

And finally, Life is an element. It has no counterpart, there is either Life or no Life.

I don't really know, it's just a horrid month, at least where I live. :P

Really? And why does everyone do so in march? I wasn't aware of that!

The month of March is the month of change. In realistic perspective, it is the month that everyone schedules big things. :P College finals, concerts, contests, regulated testing, extracurricular club activities, sports events, and staggered spring break all in one month. :P<br />
<br />
Thanks. :) I believe in whatever makes sense.

First, why do you hate the month of march?<br />
<br />
Second, I like you so i'm going to add you, ok? =)<br />
<br />
And third, good perspective on elements and as long as it works for you , it's great!

Lol, I didn't expect to immediately flatten you either. :) As a general rule, I'm nicer, but this time I didn't know any other way to rephrase it...<br />
<br />
It's not as easy as just good vs evil or lightbulb on-off, but I did see where you were coming from. Remember, this is just what I believe, it doesn't mean you have to. :)

Well I had visions of that debate lasting longer than me calling you out and you immediately flattening me XD I did understand what you meant after you explained in further detail though. See, I was think of it in terms of light and dark, as opposed to some other sort of energy lol<br />

Simple? I think not. :) I love it when people challenge me. And you're actually smart for doing so. :) It makes me think harder about things, and everyone learns more in the process.

Well either way, I'm a simple wolf when compared to you. I like to think I'm relatively smart, but compared to you, I can't compete lol<br />

I do know too much. :) Actually, no, I observe everything for patterns, and I give the patterns names and symbols, that's all. :)

**slinks away quietly** Your magnet example totally killed any counter-argument :(<br />
<br />
**has learned not to debate with Arctos** lol you know too much :P<br />

That gives a good point now that u say it (nods)

Aha, but note this is a different usage of light and dark. It isn't darkness, just dark.<br />
<br />
It refers to creative energy, known as Light energy, and destructive energy, known as Dark energy. An absence of Light just means that nothing is being created; it does not necessarily mean anything is being broken down by Dark energy.<br />
<br />
Imagine a magnet. On one side is a positive magnetic field, while on the other is a negative magnetic field. One can exist without the other, though they are generally found either together or not at all. By far, the most prominent occurrences of Light and Dark energies are where they are paired up. After all, if something is being destroyed, something needs to take its place. And if something is being created, something else needs to go away to make room.<br />
<br />
With Light and Dark, it's generally both or neither.

Using that same logic, wouldn't light also have no counterpart, since darkness is the absence of light?<br />

Diesel **loves a good debate**

I'm saying that death in and of itself is merely the absence of life, making Life the only one without an opposite.

How about death? Or are u saying life is the connection to it?
