I'm Afraid I Play to Peopl...

I'm afraid I play to peoples expectations. See in my school I'm known as the funny guy. It's what people have come to expect of me and they assume that I am this funny, happy guy all the time. Well, I'm not. If I come in one day and am not as happy as people expect me to be, I get questioned. "What's wrong?," or "Are you okay?". I can't be normal for one day. So, to stop all the questions I be happy, funny all the time, even if I am feeling very depressed.

It can be so frustrating when people expect you to behave in a certain way. Like you say, it is easier to carry on acting the way they expect you to. I can't really offer any advice, because in the past, I myself have stuck to playing the role people saw me in and it is not easy to break out of the mould. I just make sure that when I meet new people, I do not take on that role again and so can never get stuck 'playing the part.' Hope things go ok for you :)
