Stubborn Desire For Something Better

I'm just plain stubborn.

If I give up now, it means I won't be able to do [insert random thing depending on my mood]. It will also mean that I've fought tooth and claw to get to this point for nothing.

I deserve to have a better life, and will.

I get sidetracked thinking about whether the effort is worth the desired outcome, especially when I hit a rough spot, in terms of wondering how fleeting 'a better life' can be. Right now mostly though, I try to just tell myself to shut up and keep on trying, which is not the most productive in terms of how I see myself, but I'll work on it over time.
