I Regret
I read in a child development book how childhood experiences can shape your adulthood in two ways. First, that unsuccessful resolution of childhood stages or processes can make you, as an adult, repeat efforts in an attempt to satisfy this desire or need that was never satisfied as a child. Second, mental processes learned in childhood can remain with you as an adult.
I thought the first one was interesting and applicable to my own relationship difficulties. I need new mental processes, apparently.
