First Grade

I was in first grade. We were sitting the the classroom, when my teacher left. She came back and turned the TV on, and I'll never forget the look on her face. She just stood there with her hand over he mouth, staring at the TV. I was too young to understand what was happening at the time, I just knew something terrible happened. I was scared because all the adults around me were scared. It was terrifying.

Your story was short because you were young, but I found it facinating to read the perspective because I was 27 at the time of 9/11. Children can be very aware even if they are young. You can look back on your memories now with adult understanding to fill in the gaps.
