I think, they are individually great inspirational masters by their own right and gave the world great teachings. The unity can be better sought in their teachings and better found in practising them. It's good to have a general appreciation for all the Masters and the good works they did in the world. For personal adoption, an affinity or allegiance to one of them can be a good thing, because it provides focus and clarity on the path and application to a consistent set of practices.

It's like the different forms of martial art that train you in defence. Take your pick, if you want mastery, don't mix one with the other during training time, until you have mastered them all separately.

Never knew. How about the similarity in the names of Krishna and Christ? And many religious festivals of different religions overlap? Seeing the comment below: Isn't it funny that instead of being happy about Christians appreciating the Prophet Mohammad, he is being critical? Strange!

But you are mistaken Christians do not have that appreciation for Mohammad as muslims do.The Bible teaches us in fact Jesus's own words say that he is the only path to his Father who is God in heaven.Christians and Muslims do not even worship the same God.The God of the Bible has an only begotten Son that was sent to earth to die as a sacrifice for mankind's and Muslims God does not have a son that was sent to earth.Huge difference.
As a Christian that follows Jesus words and teaches I can't accept Mohammad as a prophet from God because Jesus fulfilled the prophesies and after him the begging of the end would start. There is no need for any other to come after him.I do respect Muslims and people that worship differently though but I do not accept him as a prophet sent by Jesus Father.

Well there are huge differences between how Christians view Jesus and how other religions view Jesus.Jesus is the only begotten son of God which is huge huge difference. At Jesus baptism the heaven opened and God spoke saying "This is my son listen to him.
Jesus himself said he was the only way to God.So if any other religion claims to listen to Jesus as a prophet then they should accept his own words.
Christians don't accept Mohammad because Jesus is all that is necessary to gain God's approval. There is no need for anyone else and the Bible say's that any other teaching than what Jesus taught is an anti-Christ.
Not all Christians teach Jesus is God in the flesh.Jesus himself did not teach that. There are a lot of Christians Jews by the way.Judeo-Christian history is because Jesus was a Jew.
