An Original Patriot

"I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country."

Nathan Hale (June 6, 1755 – September 22, 1776)

Nathan Hale has long been considered an American hero.

Volunteered for an intelligence-gathering mission and was captured by the British and hanged following the Battle of Long Island.

Remembered best for his final statement before his execution.
