My Family Orphanage...

A personal story in the experience: I Run An Orphanage In India With My Family
I n 2004 my family and I moved out to India to run an orphanage. It has been the most rewarding and difficult experience of my life. We have faced so much opposition from greedy people and have had to fight to protect our children and their futures.

Today our orphanage has over 90 children and operates completley independantly. We dont have any government, corporate or aid organisation supporting us... its pretty much just my sisters and a few friends. In Australia my Dad had a small farm and my mother was a house-wife... I did some computer training and was pretty much a waiter for 6 years. I believe that our desire and our commitment was all that was needed to change the lives of these children, we didnt need moeny or power or anything other than genuine hearts for the work.

We love to have visitors out here, but we of course have to be careful who comes (cause there are a lot of scary people in this world). If you want any information or just want to check out our work please take a look at www.IndianOrphanage.com which is our orphanages website.

Clifton.

Wow, if there were more people like you and your sisters and friends what a different world it would be. You really are an inspiration!

:) thanks Kattrise. It really isa pleasure to be a part of this organisation. Its totally not what I had thought I would do with the rest of my life (I was actually a computer technician and i guess expected that to be it for me). I am so glad it wasn't though! My life is so much more exciting now than it ever could have been back in my old job/life.
